LEDs use a fraction of the energy of comparable lightbulbs and last many times longer. Herman Miller, already promoting cradle-to-cradle production of some of their top-selling furniture models, continues its campaign for environmental awareness by working with designer Yves Béhar to design an LED lamp that uses only 12 watts (1/5th the power of a 60W bulb), and lasts over 60,000 hours while still sticking to Herman Miller’s model of sustainability in production.
