IBM fired contract employee for reporting a colleague's racist comment

Flag As InappropriateDrFitz DrFitz about 1 year ago about International Business Machines

I’m submitting this now because the Supreme Court just refused to hear the appeal of the lawsuit the fired employee filed. Regardless of the law, how clueless is it for a company to FIRE someone for having the courage to alert them to a problem that should be addressed? It’s possible for PC concerns to be overblown, but to penalize an employee so drastically for simply alerting management to a potential problem is pretty unbelievable.

That thinking is dated for IBM. I agree He warned mgmt. Then He got fired.

Dont work for IBM.

IBM=Ive Buried my Mind. Dated, anchient PC thinking.

Or would IBM want a Race riot in Co.

Rehire that employee or relocate in other div. Then investigate issue.
