An interview with the IKEA CSR director on Grist shows they are doing quite a lot compared to most other retailers, but rather refreshingly, they have chosen not to brag about this.

I had the liberty of working on a short term project with IKEA several years ago before renewable energy and other environmentally friendly technologies were starting to get popular. Even back then I was impressed with the companies culture and it’s level of awareness, focus and proactive research with such issues. IKEA inspires and obligates me to more as a human being on this earth.
