Wal-Mart will be conducting audits of their suppliers based on a couple major categories that in their mind most impact the environment. It’s not a bad idea, really, even if it might take some of the negative focus away from them and place it squarely on their supply chain. I’m not sure what the consequences or outcome may be (other than awareness) if a supplier’s environmental responsibility would make a Smoggie blush…
