Kiva Helps Entrepreneurs in Developing Nations Through Microloans

Flag As Inappropriateriles01 riles01 about 1 year ago about Kiva

Thought about starting your own business? So have thousands of people in poverty-stricken nations. The only catch is they don’t have the means to fund or to come by the funds to start their businesses. This is, until Kiva came along. Kiva finds entrepreneurs in developing nations and helps them find regular people interested in extending microloans (as little as $25 USD). Kiva verifies everyone they support and follows up with the lenders to show how their money is used.

Check out their list of supporters.

Why not adapt this to the US?

Our microloans can be a bit more BUT basics to get Business running IE: Vending machines A-Z. Miscl franchises alone IE NOT stores like McDs or Mrs Fields. Great idea. Id have India as hub & use Hong Kong for SE Asian area markets. Id have offices in the Caribbean IE for Haiti alone. Bravo. Very doable. & have Internet marketplace to sell goods. Nice.

Yeah, I’ve used Kiva and it is a great concept. The staff are professional, ethical and they communicate with you on a regular basis, providing you updates regarding your loan and the progress the entrepeneur is making on paying the loan back. This is a great example of doing the right thing.
