Kids' Climate Change Challenge

Flag As Inappropriatecitizengoat citizengoat 7 months ago about ProgressiveKid

ProgressiveKid’s new publishing imprint Green Goat Books recently released its first title A Hot Planet Needs Cool Kids by Julie Hall. Now Julie and Sarah Lane, Green Goat Books’ Editor in Chief, are taking the book on the road to get kids involved in fighting climate change. With their Kids’ Climate Change Challenge, Julie and Sarah hope to inform kids (and their parents) about climate change and propel them to action. The book’s positive, proactive message carries over into the presentation, which is a game-like activity designed to involved kids and their parents in learning about, making decisions about, and taking action against climate change. The Kids’ Climate Change Challenge will be part of the Seattle Green Festival on April 12 and 13 at the Seattle Convention and Trade Center, the Arizona Kidney Foundation Children’s Art & Literature Luncheon (with this year’s theme AKF Kids Go Green and Save Planet Earth) at Scottsdale’s Westin Kierland Resort & Spa on April 27, and at numerous public library presentations in Washington.
