over 2 years ago about Whole Foods Market
Whole Foods is prototyping an in-store spa and introducing a new mineral makeup line. They are going beyond the simple ‘popular market for conscious consumer groceries’ business towards complete customer well-being. Of course, all this is subject to premium prices but this move makes a lot of sense; if healthy choices and overall well-being is a company virtue why not dedicate (all?) company resources to fulfilling every aspect of a healthy lifestyle? Without considering how this may effect their core retail business it shows that profitable businesses can do the right thing without compromising customers’ health. Nice.
