Although Apple’s claim that accounting rules are forcing them to charge $1.99 for the 802.11n upgrade is meeting with a lot of skepticism, there may be reason to believe them. When the enabler software went on sale yesterday at the Apple Store, it was revealed that you can use it on any Mac you own.

Note: The software license for the 802.11n Enabler software allows you to install and use it on all computers under your ownership or control.
