about 1 year ago about Wal-Mart
Before our turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and that extra slice of pecan pie has even begun to digest, every retailer in the country is pushing their holiday cheer. Christmas carols are turned on, lights are hung, dress codes alter, personalities light up, and most stores encourage their employees to greet their customers with a holiday greeting. Some stores are more politically correct than others, making sure not to offend those who may not celebrate Christmas or other main stream holidays. NOT Wal-Mart. This year, my sister had the great fortune to stop by her local Wal-Mart (the largest retailer in the world) to purchase Hannukah wrapping paper and a couple Hannukah gift cards. After having difficulty locating the Hannukah section, she asked for assistance. In doing so, not only did the Wal-Mart employee inform her that they do not carry any Hannukah items during the Holiday season, but the employee said to her, “This is the first year we are not required to say ‘Happy Holidays,’ instead we are allowed to say ‘Merry Christmas.’” Even though Wal-Mart hires both mentally and physically disabled people, this does not distract me from giving a very low rating.
Do the RIGHT thing Wal-Mart!
