Starbucks says no to trans-fat

Flag As Inappropriaterod rod over 2 years ago about Starbucks

It is about time restaurants took control of their menus. If a restaurant or food services company can provide healthy alternatives to their customers why not replace items from the menu that have been proven to be harmful? Starbucks is beginning to do the right thing by cutting items that contain trans-fat from their menus (according to a company representative they have been working on this for the last two years): Starbucks cuts trans fats in half of U.S. stores Starbucks cuts trans-fats from menu

Trans-fats are proven to be neither required nor beneficial to our health; they have been shown, for example, to increase the risk of coronary heart disease.

Can any company representatives elaborate on this effort?
