GoDaddy: Number One In Customer Service

Flag As Inappropriatedalan dalan about 1 year ago about GoDaddy

I was suprised to see the negative reaction to the GoDaddy story, without anybody, apparently, checking the facts. I do think they we’re a bit heavy handed, but, given the seriousness of the complaint by MySpace, it seems justified. However, GoDaddy should have anticipated the negative public reaction, should have been more aggressive in contacting the security site, and should have worked out a quick solution with the “offending” company. GoDaddy then should have been quick to publicize and defend their actions.

In my experience, having registered hundreds of domain names, GoDaddy Customer Service is amazing. No less than five times I’ve received a friendly call asking “How can we help you?” That is unprecedented. I hope I can get to the point of providing such service to my clients. Aside from a horrificly cluttered website - very unGoogle-like - all services have been delivered promptly and expertly, with no glitches.

I recommend them all the time, and see no reason, yet, to switch.

+1 from one web pro to another...

Chris about 1 year ago

I used to offer personalized web hosting. I enjoyed it for a while, but it go to the point that web hosting in general had become so commoditized (is that a word?) I was sick of the calls from clients asking why I couldn’t offer my hosting for n cents, or why I didn’t offer 20GB of drive space, or or or or… so finally I did some research into alternative hosting companies for my clients, wrote up an email of recommendation, and offloaded them all. My own site is registered and hosted with GoDaddy now. Cheap and reliable. I wish they had a toll-free number, but I’ve only had to use their phone support once. They appear to have their infrastructure ducks in a row, and their online interfaces are getting better and better. Customer service goes beyond a friendly voice on the phone – the simple fact that I’ve never needed to use customer service more than a handful of times is the best customer service of all: they’re getting it right the first time.

GoDaddy has great customer service!

GoDaddy always picks up the phone, always treats the customer with respect (even with silly questions), never rushes you off – and it is all driven from the top, and the immediate customer survey you get when you finish. Since only 50% of all companies survey customers (who pay the revenue) and only 16% measure employee satisfaction, GoDaddy is a clear winner!
